More about Albert Wilson Elder

Albert Wilson Elder   Royal Army Medical Corps

R.A.M.C. TERRITORIAL WOUNDED.

Intimation has been received in Dundee, that Private Albert Wilson Elder, of the Royal Army Medical Corps (Dundee Territorial’s), was wounded on 3d June, it appears that while he was engaged with a squad of three men taking in a wounded soldier, Private Elder was hit by a piece of shrapnel, and the communication to hand indicates that he will probably be sent to a clearing hospital.  Although the wound is severe, Private Elder is practically certain to make a good recovery.  He was a meat sales-man in the employment of Mr Magnus Elder, Dundee, and resided at 2 Craigie Street.  Private Elder, who was married shortly before the outbreak of war, has served in the R.A.M.C. for four years.
