Alexander Cathro   Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders

BROUGHTY MAN PRISONER OF WAR.

Mrs Cathro, Howie Place, Long Lane, Broughty Ferry, has received information from her son, Private Alexander Cathro, 10th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, stating that he is a prisoner of war at Munster, Germany.  Private Cathro enlisted in Kitchener’s Army in October of last year, and was formerly employed at the Eastern Co-operative Stores, Broughty Ferry.  The photograph was taken just after he had completed a fourteen days’ spell in the trenches.
