RECOMMENDED FOR THE D.C.M.

Sergeant Alexander Gammie, whose wife resides at 29 Kincardine Street, Dundee, was also a keen Territorial.  He proceeded to the front with his battalion shortly after the outbreak of hostilities.  He too, was wounded at Loos, and has since been in England.  He is at present at Ripon doing light work.  He is 35 years of age, and was formerly a carter.  He was recommended for the D.C.M. about a year ago.
