Alexander was the brother of Sgt George Middleton Warden, 8052, 2nd Battalion Black Watch, who died from disease 26.05.1917 & Pte Thomas Warden, 14174, 2nd Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, who was killed in action 29.10.1916.
