More about Alfred James Moonlight

Alfred Moonlight   Black Watch

DUNDEE SOLDIER KILLED.

News has come to hand of the death in action of Private Alfred Moonlight, of the Black Watch.  He is the first member of a patriotic Dundee family to fall.  Along with his father, Private Thomas Moonlight, he joined the Black Watch at the outset of the war.  They went out to the front together, but after some time the father was sent home, he being too old for active service.

About that time another brother, Private William Moonlight, enlisted in the Black Watch, and is still at the front.  The deceased soldier was only 20 years of age, and prior to enlistment was employed as a miner in Bowhill Colliery, Fife.  His father is at present in England.
