Andrew Hutchison  M.M.  60157   Machine Gun Corps

DUNDEE MAN GAINS THE MILITARY MEDAL.

Mr David Hutchison, 245 Clepington Road, Dundee, has received information that his son, Lance-Corporal Andrew Hutchison, Machine Gun Corps, has been awarded the Military Medal.  The official notice states that the decoration was conferred on him for gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the battle round Sanctuary Wood on 31st last.

Corporal Hutchison enlisted in the R.A.M.C. shortly after the outbreak of war, being transferred from that regiment to the Machine Gun Corps.  In civil life he was employed as a grocer in a branch of the Dundee Eastern Co-Operative Society in Provost Road.
