Charles S. Reid    240069   Black Watch

D.C.M. FOR WELL-KNOWN DUNDEE HIGHLANDER.

Company Quarter-master-Sergeant Chas. S. Reid, Black Watch, who has been awarded the D.C.M., is a well-known Dundee Highlander, whose home is at Broughty Ferry.

It is over 32 years since he joined the Volunteers, and he was mobilised at the outbreak of war.  At present he is in hospital recovering from wounds in the hip and groin.   The gallant Q.M.S., who is just on 50 years of age, is the eldest so of Mr George Reid, Bonfield Villa, Cupar.  Himself a Volunteer with a great record and holder of the long service medal.
