Charlotte Ann Drever was born on Sanday, Orkney in 1897. She moved to Dundee aged 4. During the Great War Charlotte served as a Postwoman in Dundee. She Married John Chalmers in 1923, together they had 4 sons. Charlotte was the Leader of the 33rd Boys Brigade, Life Boys. She was also called up to work in the local Jute Mills during the 2nd World War
