Corporal J. Coullie,South African Scottish, was a son of the late Mr D. W. Coullie, merchant service, Arbroath, and Mrs Young, 143 Nethergate, formerly of Lochee. Prior to emigrating to South Africa, Cpl. Coullie was employed in the G.P.O., Dundee, and while in South Africa he was in the G.P.O. there. He served through the Boer War and also the Zulu Rebellion. Deceased enlisted in South Africa in August, 1915, and had been two years in France. He leaves a wife and three children, who reside in South Africa.
