More about David Petrie

David Petrie   Black Watch

SERIOUSLY WOUNDED, BUT CHEERFUL.

Private David Petrie, 31 Hunter Street, has been seriously wounded, having sustained injuries to both hands and to the neck and arm.  He is 19 years of age, and was connected with the Territorials prior to the outbreak of war.  A chaplain, in a letter, states that although he has lost a few fingers this brave young soldier is nevertheless quite bright and cheerful.

Dundee Courier 16th September 1916

He is also recorded as residing at 51 Heans Lane & 23 Smalls Wynd, Dundee.
