More about Denis Tucker
Denis Tucker was the son of Mr William and Mrs Mary Tucker of Thorburn Road, St John’s, Newfoundland. Newfoundland records state that he drowned but Naval History Net say he died from illness. He is buried in the Dundee Eastern Necropolis and shares a grave with Cook John Henry Gardiner, H.M. Yacht “Jason II” who died 3/2/1916, and Able Seaman Stephen Thompson, H.M.S. “Pembroke” who died 8/12/1916. He is recorded in the Dundee Seamen’s Roll of Honour because Dundee is his last resting place on Earth and in the hope that Dundee men and women buried elsewhere will be similarly recognized.
Denis died as a result of drowning and is buried in Dundee’s Eastern Cemetery.

For reasons unknown Dennis Tucker is not included on the original Dundee City Roll of Honour.
