DUNDEE TEACHER RECEIVES COMMISSION.

Lance-Corporal George B. Mackie, 15th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, has received a commission as a second-lieutenant in the 11th Black Watch.

Second-Lieutenant Mackie enlisted in the 14th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in June last year, but was transferred to the 15th Battalion.

Previous to enlisting Second-Lieutenant Mackie was a teacher in the Harris Academy, and his parents reside at 42 Magdalen Yard Road, Dundee.
