More about George William Jones

For reasons unknown this man is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour, but is remembered on Dundee’s Morgan Academy Roll of Honour.

As a student at Edinburgh University Captain Jones had a very distinguished career, graduating with distinction in the Faculties of Arts, Science and Law. In May 1917 he was appointed a Sub-Lieutenant in the RNVR, and in August 1918 he joined the Meteorolical Staff of the RAF, for whom he was carrying on important investigations when he died from pneumonia.
