James Knight 25325 Black Watch
Private James Knight, 1st Black Watch, who died of wounds received in action somewhere in France, was home wounded in the thigh last October, and returned to the trench in January, gallantly giving up his life for his country. Private James Knight was a member of a family every member of which is doing a “little bit” for Britain. Private Fred Knight, a brother, is in hospital at Greenwich, recovering from a gunshot wound in the left thigh. Another brother, Corporal W. D. Knight, came from India with the 2d Black Watch after four years in that country, and went to the front, but at the end of November he was invalided home with severe frostbite. Another brother, George Knight, and the father of the family are in Glasgow on Government work, while the mother is similarly employed in Dundee.
