James and Mary lost three of their sons to the Great War.

Sapper Thomas Piggott, 2738007, Canadian Engineers Depot, died of Influenza, 21.10.1918.

Pte David William Piggott, 23041, 2nd Battalion, Canadian Infantry, who died of wounds, 05.06.1916.

Pte John Piggott, 2030, 4th Battalion, Black Watch, who was killed in action 23.07.1916.

James Piggott served in the Scots Guards and returned home safely.
