More about John Black

John Black    Black Watch

DUNDEE SOLDIER WOUNDED.

Mrs John Black, who resides at 21 Annfield Row, Dundee, has received a postcard from her husband, who is a Black Watch reservist, stating that he has been wounded, and is lying in a French hospital.

With the thought-fulness of the soldier-husband Pte. Black makes light of his wounds, and in a later letter tells his wife that he will be out of hospital in a short time.  He was wounded on the 14th of this month in the hand and arm.

Dundee Courier 1st October 1914
