DUNDEE MAJOR MENTIONED.

Major John Dunn, Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., has been mentioned in despatches for his good work in the field.

The Major, who was head of the science department in Morgan Academy, was mobilised at the beginning of the war, and has served two and a half years in France.  During that time, he has seen service along the whole length of the British front, being in the battles of Festubert, Somme, Beaumont Hamel, Arras, and Ypres.  After the third battle of Ypres he received from the Major-General commanding the division with which he was serving a card congratulating him on his “gallantry in the field.”  In September last Major Dunn while riding on duty on the Belgian frontier was injured through his horse falling.
