Joseph has no known grave but is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. His real name was Joseph Lisco Marra, but served as Reilly.

For reasons unknown Joseph is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.

DUNDEE SOLDIER MISSING.

Mrs R. Marra, 100 Foundry Lane, Dundee, has been official advised that her brother, Pte. Joseph L. Reilly, Royal Scots, has been missing since 30th July.

The missing soldier who is 23 years of age, enlisted only a short time ago.  He was employed in Wallace Craigie Works, Ferry Road, Dundee, for twelve years.  His sister received a letter from a private of the same regiment who is at present in hospital in Dublin, stating that the last he saw of Pte. Reilly was when he fell struck by an enemy bullet.
