Robert was the brother of Pte Alexander Anderson, 27007, 12th Battalion Royal Scots, who was killed in action, 24.05.1916 and Pte James Anderson, 202389, 1/5th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.

Robert Anderson

Private Robert Anderson, third son of Mr and Mrs Anderson, 27 Lyon Street, is now reported to be a prisoner of war in Germany and slightly wounded.  He was previously reported missing since 21st March, but a postcard has been received from him from a German camp.  Pte. Anderson has been twice previously wounded, and is 28 years of age.  His younger brother was killed in France, while another is serving with the forces.
