At the time of David’s attestation, his next of kin was listed as Mrs Mary Montgommery, 176 Rochdale Ave North, Cambridge, U.S.A. According to his service records, David was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for stealing property, whilst on active service.
David was initially interred in Corkscrew British Cemetery but his grave was destroyed in later battles.
