Thomas Dempsey   2666   Black Watch

WOUNDED IN TWO PLACES.

Private Thomas Dempsey, 4th Black Watch, is reported in the official notification received by his wife as having been admitted to the 13th General Hospital, Boulogne, but he is now lying in hospital in England.

He received shrapnel wound in the leg and a bullet wound in the head on 9th inst.  Writing from the hospital, he states that the wound in the head is not serious as the other.

Private Dempsey is 25 years of age, and he joined the Territorials in September last, having been previously employed as a millworker in Victoria Works.

Wounded for the Fifth Time.

Pte. Thomas Dempsey. Black Watch, son of Mrs Dempsey, 3 Urquhart Street, has been wounded for the fifth time.  Private Dempsey, who is 25 years of age, enlisted in 1914, and has been in France since February, 1915.  Prior to enlistment he was employed in Queen Victoria Works (Victoria Spinning Company, Limited).  Mrs Dempsey’s other son, James, is on active service in France.
