William has no known grave but is remembered on the Tyne Cot War Memorial. William was believed to be a former pupil of Grove Academy, Broughty Ferry and as such is also remembered on the Schools War Memorial. His uncle James was a Doctor in Broughty Ferry and so may have resided with him and possibly may have attended the school whilst here.
