John E. M. Young   S/41261   Black Watch

MISSING.

Private John E. M. Young, Black Watch, is officially reported missing since 20th July.  He is the son of Mr William Young, Douglas Place, Ramsay Park, Broughty Ferry, and went to France at the end of March last.  Nineteen years of age, he was employed in the civil engineering department of the Dundee Corporation prior to enlisting.

BROUGHTY FERRY SOLDIER PRESUMED KILLED.

Private John E. M. Young, Black Watch, previously reported missing, is now presumed to have been killed in action, or died of wounds on 28th July.  Deceased, who was 19 years of age, had been four years in France. In civil life he was employed in the Engineer’s department of the Dundee Corporation.  His father resides at 3 Douglas Place, Ramsay Park, Broughty Ferry.
