Would you like to be involved with the Great War Dundee project?

1st February 2019 - 1st February 2019

Location: McManus Collections Unit. Barrack St, Dundee DD1 1PG.

Great War Dundee (GWD) has secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the “Hidden Histories” project, which will support Dundee folk to learn how and why World War One impacted both then and now on the city and its people.

We are now looking for people who would like to get involved with the project as a GWD Community Ambassador. We are hosting an event at The McManus Collections Unit on Friday 1st February from 10.30am to 12.30pm to explain more about what it would mean to be an Ambassador. You would be supported by GWD to research various topics relating to the Great War. There are lots of research possibilities, from finding out more about individual people that appear on Dundee’s Roll of Honour, to exploring the role of women during the war. You will also have an opportunity to view and investigate fascinating museum items that relate to WW1.

Numbers are limited, so if you are interested in attending the event or have any questions please email Project Coordinator Fiona Sinclair at: fiona@cfjassociates.com
