More about John D'Arcy
John has no known grave but is remembered on the Le Touret Memorial. He was the brother of Pte Thomas D’Arcy, 21483, 1st battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) who was killed in action 29.03.1918.

Notification Delayed Four Months.
Intimation was received on Wednesday by his relatives at 5 Atholl Street, Lochee, of the death of Private John Darcy, of the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.
Some uncertainty seems to exist as to the circumstances under which Private Darcy, who belongs to the 2d Battalion of the K.O.S.B.’s, met his death. The notification bears that he was killed in action on 14th October last—over four months ago—but the locality is unknown to the military authorities.
