Thomas Docherty 3/2698 Black Watch
WOUNDED AND GASSED.
Private Thomas Docherty, in a letter to his mother, who resides at 78 Princess Street, Dundee, states that he was wounded in the hand and slightly gassed.
Pte. Docherty enlisted in the 3d Black Watch at the outbreak of war, and before proceeding to France was transferred to the 1st Battalion. Pte Docherty was wounded during the fighting on 9th May, and was for a time in Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow.

Docherty 3/2698 Black Watch
Pte. T. Docherty, Black Watch, was the son of Mr and Mrs J. Docherty, 78 Princes Street, Dundee. He was 22 years of age, and enlisted at the outbreak of war. He had been twice wounded and had served 3½ years in France. Previous to enlistment he was in the employment of Messrs G. C. Taylor & Sons, Jamaica Street, Dundee.
