George was the brother of Pte Thomas Drew, 623398, 10th Battalion, Canadian Infantry.

Mr George Drew, Gourdie, has received official intimation of the death in action of his son, Lance-Corporal George Drew, Seaforth Highlanders.  Lance-Corporal Drew, who was in his 21st year, had been in France two years.  Before enlisting he was employed as a farm servant on the farm of Berryhill, Fowlis.  A brother, Tom, of the Canadians, is lying wounded in a hospital in England.
