DUNDEE H.L.I. MAN KILLED. Official intimation has been received by Mrs Martin, who resides at 34 North Wellington Street, Dundee, that her son, Private David Martin, of the 2nd Highland Light Infantry, was killed in action on 18th May. Private Martin was wounded in December and landed in an Aberdeen hospital on New Year’s morn. Before proceeding to the front again he was home on leave for about three weeks. Private Martin was 19 years of age, and enlisted in the 1st Highland Light Infantry three years ago, and was stationed in India for some time. He went from India to Egypt, and thence to France. Before proceeding to the front a second time he was drafted into the 2nd Battalion of the regiment. Before enlisting, Private Martin was employed as a millworker with James Scott& Sons, Dura Works.
