Joseph McCarron 3346 Black Watch
YOUNG DUNDEE SOLDIER DIES OF WOUNDS.
Mr and Mrs McCarron, 5 Milnbank Road, Dundee, have just received official intimation that their son, Private Joseph McCarron, of the Black Watch, has died of wounds received in action on 8th Sept. Private M’Carron who was 20 years of age, joined the colours shortly after the outbreak of war. Pte. McCarron was previously a calender worker in the employment of James Scott & Sons, Ltd., Mid Wynd Works, Dundee.
A brother, Private Peter MCarron, is at present serving with the Scottish Rifles.
