David was the brother of Pte John Walker, 26004, 5th Battalion Gordon Highlanders, who was killed in action 17.05.1917.
David Burns Walker 11944 Black Watch
Private Walker is the second son of Mr and Mrs John Walker, Crawford Lodge, Perth Road, to fall in action. Private Walker was killed by a shell on 7th August. He joined the colours in October, 1915, and saw service in Palestine prior to being sent to France three months ago. In civil life he was a footman. His brother was killed at Arras in May, 1917.
