More about Alexander Miller Kemp

For reasons unknown this man is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.

Alexander (Alastair) Miller Kemp   127569   Royal Engineers

A Sapper’s Death in Palestine.

Sapper Alastair Miller Kemp, Royal Engineers, only son of Mr and Mrs Kemp, 47 Baldovan Terrace, Dundee, has died of malaria in Palestine.  Sapper Kemp, who enlisted in 1916, was invalided home from France in 1917, and was later sent to Egypt.  His death will be regretted by a wide circle of friends, and much sympathy will be extended to his sorrowing parents.  Prior to enlistment Sapper Kemp, who was 23 years of age, was employed in the engineering department of the Post Office.
