Alexander has no known grave but is remembered on the Vimy Memorial. He was the brother of Pte John Niven 842080, 148th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, Gunner William Ewan Niven, 90084, 27th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery and Pte David Niven, 35450, 3rd Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers.
