DUNDEE SOLDIER FALLS IN BATTLE.
Private William Allan (21), Machine Gun Corps, who has died of wounds was a son of Private Alexander Allan, Black Watch, who resides at 3 Lyon’s Close, Dundee. Deceased was formerly employed in Victoria Works, and had been in France for eighteen months. His father, who was a reservist of the Royal Scots was called up on the outbreak of war, and has been at the front for nineteen months.
