LIEUTENANT DOUGLAS DICK OF PITKERRO
Is Reported Missing from the Scots Guards.
Lieutenant A. W. Douglas Dick 1st Scots Guards, son of Colonel Archibald Campbell Douglas Dick, C.B., of Pitkerro, near Dundee, is missing.
Private information has been received by Colonel Douglas Dick, stating that his son has been missing since November 11. Educated at Beaumont Collage, near Sandhurst, Lieutenant Douglas Dick joined the Scots Guards in 1909.
He is 25 years of age, and the son of a distinguished soldier. His father was attached to the 4th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and served in South Africa. For his conspicuous service, Colonel Douglas Dick was mentioned in despatches, and received the Queen’s Medal with three clasps.

DOUGLAS-DICK―Killed in action on November 11, 1914, Archibald William Douglas-Dick, aged 25, only son of Colonel A. Douglas-Dick, C.B., C.M.G., and of Mrs Douglas-Dick, of Pitkerro. Previously reported missing, now presumed to have been killed.
