James Barnett S/7478 Black Watch
Lance Corporal, James Barnett, Black Watch, only son of Mr and Mrs A. Barnett, 99 Alexander Street, has died from wounds received on 22nd February. Deceased, who was 25 years of age, was, previous to emigration to America, employed as a vanman by Peebles Bros. L. Cpl. Barnett came home to the mother country to enlist, and entered the Black Watch. He had been four times previously wounded.
