Intimation has been received in Buckhaven that Gunner William Binnie, R.F.A., has been killed in action by a splinter from a shell.  He was an old soldier, and first enlisted sixteen years ago.  Joining up on the outbreak of war, he had been over two years on active service.  A native of Perth, he was 36 years of age and leaves a widow and three of a family.
