Henry has no known grave but is remembered on the Arras Memorial. He was the brother of Pte David Burnett, 8795, 1st Battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) who died of disease, 26.09.1915 and Pte Charles Burnett, 1/16709, Training Reserve, Seaforth Highlanders

Henry D. Burnett   1949   Dragoon Guards

Trooper Henry D. Burnett, Yeomanry missing since April 1917, now reported killed.  He was the sixth son of Mrs Burnett, 90 Albert Street, Dundee and was 13 years in the army, and was one of the “contemptibles.”  Previous to the war he served for eight years in Egypt.
