There is no J. Burnett, Regimental Number 42, of the Indian Expeditionary Force listed on either C.W.G.C. or S.D.G.W. The only Burnett Reg No 42, was Francis Main Burnett, 1st Royal Dragoons (Household Cavalry) who was killed in action 30.10.1914 and he is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial. He was born in New Machar, Aberdeenshire.
