David Carmichael S/40159 Black Watch
Mrs Carmichael, 64 Blackness Road, Dundee, has been informed that her husband, Pte. David Carmichael, Black Watch, has been killed in action. Deceased’s platoon commander, in a letter of condolence, writes :__”I, as his platoon commander, miss him very much, as do all of us who have fought alongside of him.” Pte. Carmichael, who was 28 years of age, enlisted three years ago, and served in France for twenty months. He was previously employed as a calender worker in Dundee.
