Official information has been received that Private Alfred Chalmers, Worcesters, was killed in action on the 4th inst. He had been in France for two and a half years. He served an apprenticeship as a pastry baker with Goodfellow & Steven, Broughty Ferry, and on enlistment was in the employment of Messrs James Keiller & Son, Dundee. His mother resides in Lawrence Street, Broughty Ferry, and his widow and two children in Dundee.
