Emil Crabbe Gordon Highlanders
Corpl. Emil Crabbe, Gordon Highlanders, has died in hospital from the effects of gas poisoning. Corpl. Crabbe, who was the second son of Mr David Crabbe, jeweller, King Street, enlisted in 1916, when he was about 18 years of age, in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, but was afterwards transferred to the Gordon Highlanders. Deceased had been in France for nine months. Mr Crabbe’s eldest son Sergeant Douglas Crabbe, R.F.A., was severely wounded a year ago.
