Alexander has no known grave but is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial. He originally served with the Black Watch (3473) before transferring to the Labour Corps.

FORRESTER___Killed in action on the 24th March, 289153 Pte. Alex. Forrester, M.T., A.S.C., late Black Watch, aged 33 years, beloved husband of Jessie Adamson, 39 Church Street. Inserted by his sorrowing widow and children.
