George Low Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
DUNDEE FOOTBALLER WOUNDED.
Pte. George Low, the popular ex-Dundee Hibs forward, has been wounded, and is lying in an English hospital. His wife, who resides at 35 Cotton Road, Dundee, has been notified that he is suffering from wounds in the left leg and also from gas. Pte. Low enlisted in the Royal Engineers in September, 1916, but was later transferred to the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Previous to his enlistment he was employed as a plasterer in the city. “Doddy.” as he was familiarly known, also played for a season with Clyde F.C.
