Private John Gibb, Black Watch, was killed in action on 28th July.  He enlisted in 1914, and had been on active service in France since 1915.  In civil life he was employed by Charles Parker, Sons, & Co., Victoria Foundry.  He leaves a widow and four children, who reside at 43 Carnegie Street.
