James Flemming Boyd   3/2540   Black Watch

The mother of Private James Boyd, of the 2d Black Watch, who is at present residing in London, has received a communication from an army chaplain intimating that her son was killed in the recent heavy fighting.  The news was on Tuesday received in Dundee by relatives of the deceased, who reside at 59 Church Street.  Private Boyd was 24 years of age.
