More about James Jackson

James Jackson   Scots Guards

Corporal James Jackson, of the Scots Guards, whose father resides at 20 Overgate, has been wounded in the left knee.  Cpl. Jackson was at one time employed with Messrs J. & J. Cunningham, Dock Street, but enlisted prior to war.  He went to France, and received shrapnel wounds in the head during the retreat from Mons.  He has taken part in all the big engagements since he returned to France.  He is 20 years of age.  A son-in-law of Mr Jackson was killed in 1915.
