Pte Graham Kidd of Dalkeith Road Dundee
Graham was the Eldest son of the famous Dundee Baker and Confectioner Andrew G Kidd of Dundee and after schooling at the Morgan Academy was in business with his father in the City. Graham enlisted with the 23rd(Sportsmans Bn) of the London Regiment, (Royal Fusliers) At the time of his death he was serving with the 24th (Sportsmans Bn) of the same London Regiment and he was Killed in Action on that famous day of the 13 Nov 1916 at Beaumont Hamel on the Somme. His Bn were serving in the Division immediately on the left flank of the 51st Highland Div who famously have Beaumont Hamel as a Divisional Battle Honour. Graham was among a list of Dundee lads to have sacrificed that day on that extensive Battlefield
