Thomas Knox 55339 Highland Light Infantry
Pte. Thomas Knox, H.L.I., son of Mrs Knox, 32 Hilltown, was killed in action on 28th September. Deceased, who was 19 years of age, enlisted about two years ago, and had been in France for 9 months. Prior to joining up he was employed with Messrs Don & Duncan, Mid Street Mill. Mrs Knox has two sons still serving, one of whom was discharged but rejoined, while another son is discharged.
