More about A. I. Malcolm

There is no A. I. Malcolm listed as having died in the C.E.F. There are only two A. Malcolm’s listed as having served in the C.E.F. and died during the Great War, they are Lt Alexander Malcolm, 43rd  Battalion who was born at Dunnet, Caithness and Pte Alexander James Malcolm 700994, 17th Battalion, who was born in Glasgow. Having checked both men’s records I could find no connection to Dundee in either’s records.

Also checked and ruled out were two other men with the surname Malcom, they were Pte Alexander Malcom 449056, 14th Battalion, who is listed as having been born in Ravel, Iceland and is recorded as having no known relatives, and Allen Beatty Malcom 838124, 58th Battalion, who is listed as having been born in Ontario, Canada.
