George has no known grave but is remembered on the Arras Memorial. George’s pension record also lists a John Davis. He was Piper John Grant Davis, 1449, 2nd Battalion Black Watch, who was killed in action 25.09.1915, he has no known grave but is remembered on the Loos Memorial, John was born in Newcastle on Tyne. John is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.
